Hello, Neighbor.

Welcome to the Long Island Food Pantry! Here, you’ll find love, respect, and hope.

We support those in crisis by offering emergency food at our Freeport center and mobile locations. Our neighbors come by word of mouth or referrals from the county, houses of worship, just as walk-ins. No one in need is turned away.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every household member to live an active, healthy life. On Long Island, around 234,000 people are food insecure, including 65,000 children and 26,000 seniors.

Approximately 40% of food-insecure households on Long Island are above the poverty level but don’t make enough to keep up with the high cost of living in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, making them ineligible for nutrition assistance programs.

Our neighbors often face the tough choice between feeding their families and meeting essential needs like rent, utilities, or prescriptions. Despite funding cuts, we continue to serve over 3,000 individuals monthly in Nassau County.

Our goal is to support overall health, wellbeing and self-esteem for every Long Islander. We would love to be a neighbor partner with you.
